WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our Belief Concerning the Bible
We believe the Bible to contain the Word of God, divinely inspired and given to humankind for the purpose of revealing who God is (according to Hebrews 13:8) and God's will for all humankind.
Our Belief Concerning God
We believe that there is only One God who is eternal according to Psalm 90:2, who exist in three persons: God the Creator (Father), God the Redeemer (Son) and, God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God is the Creator of All according to 1 Corinthians 8:6, that are both found in God; and made one with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Belief Concerning Jesus the Christ
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, Redeemer of all humankind and mediator between God and humanity, according to 1 Timothy 2:5.
Our Belief Concerning the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is, according to John 16:13, the Paraclete that was sent as our Comforter, Convictor and the one that will guide us into all truth.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the catalyst for empowerment according to Acts 1:8 to give us power and an effective witness in the earth.
We believe in the 9 Gifts of the Spirit as indicated in 1 Corinthians 12:1-14 and that God gives these gifts by way of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of fulfilling God's will in the earth. These gifts are a testament to God's power to edify God's church, and to convict of the unbeliever.
Our Belief on The Fall of Humanity
Humankind is created in the image of God, made good and upright. However, humans chose to sin against God. Their transgression separated them from God. Thus, they experienced not only physical death, but also spiritual death. That momentous fall brought all creation under divine judgement. Therefore, all are born into a sin-filled world that is in need of God's regeneration, redemption, and renewal (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19).
Our Belief on Salvation
We believe that Christ died once for all, according to 2 Corinthians 5:15 and Romans 5:8, thereby the gift of salvation is made accessible and obtainable to all people.
We believe that Christ's redemptive work on the Cross ensures our justification, engages the Holy Spirit in act of our regeneration and enacts the process of sanctification. Sanctification is an ongoing process of progressive holiness by which all believers grow in purity and perfection through Christ. We are being perfected and this perfection takes both time and patience.
We believe in confession of belief in Christ according to Romans 10:9, thus our acceptance of salvation is made known unto all.
Our Belief of Baptism
We believe in Water Baptism (Full-Submersion) and its significance as a representation of our outward confession and commitment to the Lordship and Discipleship of Jesus the Christ (according to Mark 16:16, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:27, and 1 Peter 3:21).
Our Belief on The 2nd Coming of Christ and The Resurrection
We believe in the 2nd Coming of Jesus the Christ according to John 14:3, our subsequent preparation as believers and responsibility to maintain astute readiness.
We believe in the resurrection of the righteous dead to eternal life everlasting, according 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
Our Belief Concerning the Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God is made up of all people according to Acts 17:26-27 "From one ancestor God made all nations to inhabit the whole earth, and he allotted the times of their existence and the boundaries of the places where they would live, 27 so that they would search for God and perhaps grope for him and find him-though indeed God is not far from each one of us.."
Our Belief Concerning Evangelism, Discipleship and Responsibility to the Body of Christ
Our efforts as an extension of the Body of Christ is rooted in the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, we have a mandate to pursue all for the cause of Christ in efforts to expand God's witness in the earth.
