The Summit Church

Academic eSports Program

Esports (or electronic sports) as an extracurricular and state-sanctioned activity is rapidly growing in K–12 education as a path for building science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) and social-emotional skills while increasing student engagement and opportunities for student inclusion. Our Academic eSports Teams at The Summit Church Nashville and The Summit Church Lebanon allow students to follow their passion for gaming down productive STEM pathways like coding, software design, entrepreneurship, and engineering while emphasizing social-emotional learning. The mission of the Academic eSports program is to go beyond gaming and provide students with an opportunity to develop academically, competitively, and professionally in order to become innovators and leaders in the esports ecosystem.
