Pastor Toby D. Atkins | Campus Pastor

Pastor Toby D. Atkins is a native of Winnfield, Louisiana. He accepted his to call to ministry in 1998 at the Interfaith Haven of Love Ministries (Winnfield, LA) under the leadership of Apostle Shirley M. Barnes. In 2000, he was ordained as an Elder in the Lord's Church. Since then, he has served in various developmental ministry support roles. In 2020, he was reaffirmed as a National Elder in the Celebration of Praise Ministries, Inc. (Albany, GA) where he is submitted to the leadership Bishop Q.S. Caldwell.

Pastor Atkins holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Occupational Studies from Delta Community College in Monroe, LA. He is licensed massage therapist in the State of Tennessee. Pastor Atkins is a successful entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Founder of Heartfelt Hands Massage Clinic and Mobile Spa (Nashville, TN). Pastor Toby or "Pastor T," as he is affectionately called serves as the Executive Pastor and is one of the Co-Founder's of The Summit Church Nashville

Kanitra N. Holmes | Executive Administrator

Kanitra N. Holmes is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at Hill's Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church (Nashville, TN) under the leadership of Elder Robert Crocker. In 2016, she aligned with Celebration of Praise Ministries, Inc. headquartered in Albany, GA. She is a licensed minister and a member of the National Ministry of Helps (MOH) of the Celebration of Praise Ministries, Inc. (Albany, GA) where she is submitted to the leadership of Bishop Q.S. Caldwell

In 2010, Kanitra graduated from the Tennessee Technology Center in Memphis, TN as a licensed and certified Pharmacy Technician. Kanitra is an innovative and highly successful entrepreneur. She is the CEO and Founder of Nitra Nee Enterprises, a company that specializes in event d├ęcor for all occasions. Kanitra or "Nikki," as she is affectionately called serves as the Church Administrator here at The Summit Church Nashville.

Dr. Herbert R. Marbury | Ministry Consultant

Dr. Herbert R. Marbury is Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible at Vanderbilt University. A fifth generation Methodist minister, he follows in the footsteps of his grandfathers, the Rev. John W. Robinson, and the Rev. L.C. Marbury, who were members of the South Carolina and Alabama Conferences respectively, and his father, the late Chaplain (LTC) Herbert L. Marbury and his mother, Annette R. Marbury, who is a retired educator. He holds a Ph.D. in Religion from Vanderbilt University, and the Master's of Divinity from Gammon Theological Seminary. He spent his undergraduate years at Emory University studying English and African-American Studies.

Dr. Marbury has taught Hebrew and Biblical Interpretation at American Baptist College and served as a mentor in the Doctor of Ministry Program at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio for the program group "The Black Church and Social and Civic Empowerment." He has lectured and presented his scholarship at campuses, professional conferences, and churches around the globe including Harare, Zimbabwe and Oxford, England.

An ordained elder in the North GA Conference where Bishop Jonathan L. Holston was his supervising pastor, Dr. Marbury is the former pastor of Old National United Methodist Church in Riverdale, GA. He continues to consider it a blessing to be able to live into his calling to minister to the Church, the Academy, and the world. Dr. Marbury serves as a Staff Pastor, Consultant and New Membership Assimilation Orientation Leader and Strategic Partnership Coordinator at The Summit Church Nashville.
