MISSION & VISION OF THE SUMMIT

At The Summit Church Nashville, our mission is to reach unbelievers through introduction of the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, to disciple and develop hearts of surrender to God's initiation, passion, and movement toward us as God's children.

We exist as an institution of Christian faith to engage God with a focus on righteous living, personal, social and communal development as well as collective accountability. We seek to demonstrate and initiate Christ-centered love that convicts, compels, encourages, strengthens and commissions all people as representatives of Christ in the earth with an emphasis to be responsive to the mandate in building the Kingdom of God.

Our Vision at The Summit Church Nashville is to become and maintain a presence as a diverse, inter-generational, multi-ethnic, celebratory church with a intentional focus on developing disciples of Jesus Christ. We are representatives of the Kingdom of God through embracing all people according to Mark 8:34 (NRSV) "He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."

Our vision is to be a tangible extension of the Body of Christ by displaying the attributes of Christ's transformational presence in the life of the believer, the community, and the world.
